Koh Samet
Koh Samet is an island in Phe Subdistrict. Mueang Rayong District, Rayong Province, in the area of Khao Laem Ya - Mu Ko Samet National Park It is a famous tourist attraction of Rayong. That has been popular with both Thais and foreigners. It is about 6.5 kilometers from the coast of Ban Phe, with an area of approximately 3,125 rai, in a triangular shape. There is a legend that is believed to be Koh Kaew Phitsadan. In the literature on Phra Aphai Mani of Soonthornphu, this may be because Koh Samet has fine white sand beaches everywhere. The reason why it was named Koh Samet is because there are many Samet White and Samet Daeng trees. Villagers use it as a torch to light a fire.
